That power belongs to God should not be debatable amongst us. Ps62:11; Acts 26:8
God is calling our attention to something more. What we should find amazing is not that God has power, but that God has given power to men. Matthew 9:2-8
Case Study: Eliezer, Gehazi, Judas, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ & Timothy.
-ELIEZER: Abraham’s oldest servant who ruled over all he had. Gen 24
Eliezer’s service was characterized by initiative. Vs10
God is committing great liberty of choice to us. He will commit great wealth to us this year.
It is easy to live for one’s self; it’s hard to live for another.
The burden of faithfulness is not borne cheaply.
-GEHAZI 2Kings 5:5-27
May we have men that will not be afraid to take up a challenge.
Gehazi was influential but he lost purpose because he was led by his lust.
There are advances that are retrogressive.
– JUDAS: the only disciple that had an office. John13: 27-30, John 12:1-8
Many point to Jesus for various reasons. We must allow God to purify our motives.
-JOHN THE BAPTIST John 1:6-8
He had the power to(privilege) identify the Christ. He, however, bore in his mind that Jesus was preferred before him and was not intimidated by that.

Being a found in the appearance of man was humbling enough for Jesus. But being obedient to the point of death was more humbling.
Gal 4: 1-7 Though sons, we are functional in service by being servants.
Jesus had the power to do His own will but He always submitted to the Father’s will even as a Son. John 5:16-19

He did not seek His own; He sought the things which were of Christ.
God will invest more in you than He will require from you. IKings 4:27-29
God will give us wisdom, exceedingly great understanding and largeness of heart.
